Our Club
A not-for-profit, people-orientated ski club on Mt Hotham
B’Rush Ski Club is a not-for-profit people-orientated club with a shared passion for snow sports that exists to provide a fun and environmentally friendly mountain experience for members, families and guests. Situated in a unique environment, the Club is committed to providing inclusive, affordable year-round access to Victoria’s majestic Mt Hotham and all it has to offer.
Our Story
B’Rush Ski Club established in 1976 has today 48 memberships of like-minded people with common interests – skiing, the outdoors and socialising.
The lodge, completed in 1981, has undergone regular improvements and upgrades to keep it modern and an inspiration to other Alpine lodges.
Club membership
Members regularly gather through the summer to enjoy the lodge and the Alpine region to complete maintenance and upgrades. In return for summer work members enjoy free accommodation during the winter.
Members enjoy preferential bookings, discounted room rates and equipment storage.
Membership enquiries should be directed to the club secretary.
Our environmental sustainability
Our Geothermal system, the highest and first in an Alpine environment in Australia, along with upgraded insulation, provided a 75% saving in energy costs. Our 12 Kw solar array, being exceptionally efficient, supports the bulk of our electrical needs and feeds our excess into the local grid. The lodge has charging outlets for electric vehicles for use in summer.
These major initiatives and an all-electric lodge have reduced our fossil fuel usage by more than 80%. Today many other lodges at Hotham & other Alpine resorts in Australia are using our model to reduce their own carbon footprint.
